In doing a little well needed housekeeping here on my author site, I stumbled across this javascript I wrote a couple of years ago.   Need a setting for your next dystopian opus? Have no fear. The random dystopia generator is here. (Actually, it’s more of a post-apocalyptic world generator.  I may do another that centers on other types of dystopia.)

It was originally intended for a League of Extraordinary Writers post. However, I couldn’t get the Javascript to work on Blogger. Score another one for WordPress, land of the many plug-ins and widgets.

The MEME PLAGUE, the 3rd book in the Memento Nora series, is available on NetGalley.  This time around the publisher is not doing physical ARCs, so I’m guessing all requests need to go through NetGalley.

My short story, “The Jelly Jar,” is appearing in this month’s CICADA magazine.

We have a cover and a new pub date.  August 13!

I’ve gotten behind on posting news (and generally updating my site).  This past year I had several short stories pubbed in ODYSSEY, including:

• “Camera Futura,” January 2013  –  This one is a bit steampunky and centers around a Camera Obscura.

• “The Long Glorious Now of Max Madden,” September 2012  –  Boy gets stressed out and turns into a dog, which helps him enjoy the long glorious now that dogs seem to inhabit.

• “The Actuarian,” April 2012 – Steampunk-ish Titanic in space. Need I say more?
